My doctoral project "Sociolinguistic competence in adult second language learners. Dynamics of linguistic, socioaffective and cognitive factors in sociolinguistic development" (DYNSC for short) examines how native English speakers with German as a foreign/second language acquire dialectal aspects of the (Austrian) German language and what (external) factors influence this acquisition. This project is in part funded by Stadt Salzburg: Kultur, Bildung und Wissen.
